Leonard Alsfeld – President and CEO of FBT Investments

 

Mr. Alsfeld is a 1974 graduate of Providence College in Providence, RI with a BA emphasis in English and Education. Mr. Alsfeld serves as the President and CEO of FBT Investments (FINRA Broker Dealer) since 2001, First Insurance Agency and FBT Advisors which he founded. Mr. Alsfeld also serves First Bank and Trust as a Senior Vice President. Previous to joining FBT Investments, Mr. Alsfeld held several management positions with financial service corporations.  He founded the Louisiana Association of Broker Dealers and the non-profit foundation A Child's Wish.  Mr. Alsfeld has also served as a Trustee of the Jefferson Parish Home Mortgage Authority and is a member of the Securities Industry Association (SIA) and the Bank Insurance and Securities Association (BISA). Mr. Alsfeld has a Series 7, 63, 65 and 24 NASD license in addition to various insurance licenses.

 

 

Dawn M. Peterson, Vice President, Director of Compliance and Director of Managed Products and Services

 

A graduate of Phillips College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration/Accounting, Ms. Peterson joined FBT Investments in June of 2005 as Vice President, Director of Managed Products and Services and, she also holds the position as Director of Compliance. Prior to joining FBT Investments, Inc Ms. Peterson worked at Hibernia Investments, LLC from 1991-2005 and served as Vice President/Assistant Discount Brokerage Manager and Vice President/Discount Brokerage Operations Manager. Before joining Hibernia Investments, LLC, Ms. Peterson worked for Hibernia National Bank as the Corporate Trust Supervisor from 1987-1991. Ms. Peterson holds a series 7, 24, 27, 63 NASD license and Life and Health Insurance license.

 

 

Yolanda B. Wessel, Chief Financial Officer.

 

A graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana with a BBS in Finance and Management, Mrs. Wessel also received a MBA from Loyola University. Mrs. Wessel is Chief Financial Officer of FBT Investments and FBT Advisors since 2001. Mrs. Wessel previous employer was Howard, Weil, Labouisse, Friedrichs Inc. (Legg Mason) in New Orleans, Louisiana in which she joined the firm in 1982. She was Controller from 1990 to1994 and CFO from 1994 until 2000. Mrs. Wessel holds a Series 27 and 63 NASD license.

 

 

Jannie G. Markey, Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Director of Operations

 

A graduate of Soule' College in New Orleans, Louisiana with a BS in Secretarial Science. Mrs. Markey is Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Director of Operations of FBT Investments since March 2000 and FBT Advisors since 2001. Prior to joining FBT Investments, Mrs. Markey was the Director of Operations for American Fronteer Financial with responsibilities that covered technical support, communications, and clearing arrangements. Mrs. Markey is responsible for the day-to-day account administration and has worked with many of the nation’s largest clearing firms as well as marketing and public relations for Hibernia National Bank. She has over 25 years of financial experience with fifteen years in the brokerage industry. Mrs. Markey serves on many non-profit boards.
